This time of year is always a little bit sad for me because it means packing away all of the Christmas decorations. The house always seems so drab and empty without the tree, lights and garland. This year, along with the Christmas decorations, we've been putting away some of the toys that Elyse has outgrown. It's been a double whammy. I packed her tummy-time mat and gym that she hasn't played with in months but the minute it was back in the package she started to grab it and cry. We also decided that it's time to put up her baby swing. Wouldn't you know that she crawled over to it yesterday, pulled herself up, looked at me and then pointed to the swing. So I put her in it one last time. She was so happy! She's always loved her swing. My little bird is getting so big. It blows me away to look at her in the swing now and look back at the pictures of her in it before.

Your dad is seriously talented! What a beautiful stocking for a beautiful girl. The pictures of her in the swing are crazy! It's amazing to see how much she's grown.
